Africa is a continent of adventure. Exploring Africa should be something everyone aspires to do. There is so much to do and see in our beautiful continent.

Its diversity, cuisines and rich cultural heritage makes the continent stand out from the rest of the world, not forgetting the breathtaking landscapes that make the continent so unique.

In a continent as big as Africa, it can be tricky deciding where to go.

Let’s take a quick glimpse at Morocco.

Morocco is known for many things and one of them is its architectural styles that reflects the country’s rich history. Its distinctive architecture is greatly influenced by Islam. The Islamic features can be seen in mosques, plaza, palaces as well as home. The country’s traditional architectural also gained influences from neighbouring countries.

There are many tourist attractions in Morocco and a variety of things to do when visiting the country.

The diverse country offers many opportunities for sightseeing and cultural expedition. From scenic beaches, mountains and Moroccan food.

Its rich history makes it one of the most enchanting holiday destinations.

Here are a few things to do and places to visit when you are in Morocco:

Go to Marrakech city

The vibrant city is often mistaken as the capital city of Marrakech because of the crowded and busy buzz. It is full of beautiful gardens, mosques, palaces. You stroll through the souks in town, a street marketplace where you buy all sorts of products, food, spices, fabrics, bags etc. Each street is named after the products that are sold there.

You will definitely find something you like there.

The city is famously known for its beautiful gardens, which are a great escape from the busy streets. Relax under the sun, spot furry butterflies or watch birds sing. Be entertained by snake charmers and fortune-tellers.

There is a bustle of activity in the city of Marrakech.

Taste Moroccan food

What is travelling without sampling food? Discover the unique cuisine of Morocco, try out everything from street food to village traditional dishes. Did you know that couscous is originally from Morocco? It is their national dish, they serve it with meat and vegetable stew.

You can try other dishes like the tagine, a mixture of different dishes (chicken, lamb, beef, veggies) cooked in one pot. Moroccan cuisine is influenced by the Jewish, Arab and French culture which makes it unique.

The street market is full of stalls lined with fresh fruits, vegetable, pastry and so much more. Head over to Medina for a wholesome meal that will keep you coming back for more.

Visit The Altas mountains

Get in touch with nature and forget all your troubles. That’s what being on vacation is all about after all, right? The Atlas Mountains is one of the places to visit when in Morocco. You can do your favourite sports such as hiking through the gorge and exploring the majestic scenery of the mountains. The trails will have you passing through high walls, villages along the way.

Experience the full potential of Morocco by exploring the country and learning more about its history. I am certain that you will enjoy your time in Morocco. Do not delay, book that flight today!
