Central One restaurant located on the third floor of the Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel, Sandton in Johannesburg underwent a stunning R7-million revamp.

The beautiful restaurant returns to business in style, reopening after extensive refurbishments.

Central One Bar and Restaurant has already proven to be a hit with local and international foodies, offering up-market cuisine coupled with the convenience of being situated in the heart of Sandton. This chic and stylish restaurant intoxicates its patrons with its new global fusion cuisine. The Restaurant  provides its patrons with only the freshest local ingredients, the menu delivers a gastronomic journey with mouth-watering flavour and taste. Enjoy some of the finest food in Sandton at the opulent Central One Restaurant, where diners can experience an exciting menu combination. The restaurant serves Radisson Blu renowned Super Breakfast Buffet and is opened for lunch, dinner and snacks between meals. Only 55 steps from the Sandton Gautrain Station (Metrorail) providing easy access for all travelling clientele to a chic and stylish restaurant at which to dine in true Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel style.

Central One design

The new Central One Restaurant has been designed to embody a warm, welcoming and comfortable environment for both the staff and patrons; a warm colour palette enriched with earth tones and raw natural materials has been used to provide guests with a space which is both luxurious in its design yet comfortable and welcoming to all in its ability to render one at ease and comfortable within the space.

The use of wood and stone create a visual, physical and emotive balance between the perceived warmth and cool naturally attributed to environments making use of these materials. Copper and gold elements have been introduced to provide the sense of luxuriousness and drama required to ensure our patrons have an unparalleled experience; the Sandton sunset and reflections from the copper and gold bathes the restaurant with a magical atmosphere as the light carries itself through the space.

Design elements to take note of are the use of materials, such as the wall tiling used in the kitchen, which may not be perfect however find perfection in their use alongside the copper and gold. Unlike the previous restaurant private “booths” have been allowed for in order to offer patrons with an area in which they can enclose themselves around, which we believe will be a wonderful space for the romantics out there.
