If you’re looking for a relaxing new experience in Zimbabwe, why not try a river cruise. Bushlife Safaris now offers river cruises on the Zambezi at Vundu Camp in Mana Pools.
The motorised pontoon seats eight guests and has a removable canopy. The afternoon river cruises are favoured by wildlife enthusiasts and photographers as this is when the elephants and buffaloes move on to the islands, providing up-close wildlife encounters. Snacks and drinks are served on all river and fishing cruises.
Vundu has made a name for itself over the years, largely thanks to its high standard of guiding. The camp occupies a prime position on the banks of the Zambezi River in Mana Pools National Park. It’s operated by the owners who still do a large amount of the guiding. The activities here are diverse and the guides pride themselves on giving guests quality experiences in the bush whether you’re on foot, in a vehicle or in a canoe. The camp lacks some of the luxuries you might find in other safari outfits but you’ll leave happy with the quality of the bush experience you’ve had. Other activities at the camp include game drives, night drives, fishing, walking and canoeing safaris.
Vundu Camp is in the middle of Mana Pools National Park and has eight thatched chalets, one of which is a large family room. Each chalet opens out on to the banks of the Zambezi River 10 metres away.
