DJI, the global leader in drone and imaging technology, recently hosted an unforgettable day of adventure and creativity, showcasing the versatility and accessibility of its cutting-edge products. The event brought together top influencers and media representatives, each equipped with DJI gear to document their journey through the breath-taking landscapes of Cape Town.

The DJI Day was designed to demonstrate how seamlessly DJI products can integrate into daily life, empowering creators of all skill levels to capture stunning content effortlessly. Whether soaring through the skies, navigating land, or exploring the sea, DJI’s innovative technology ensures that storytelling is immersive and accessible to all.

Bokang Mapesela, Senior Marketing Manager at the Core Group, the official distributor of DJI products in South Africa said: “April 5th was a celebration of innovation, storytelling, and the incredible beauty of Cape Town. We brought together a dynamic group of creators and media professionals to experience firsthand how DJI’s technology empowers creativity in every environment. From soaring drones above the coastline to capturing intimate moments on the ground, the day was a powerful demonstration of how accessible and inspiring our tools can be. We’re proud to lead the way in shaping the future of imaging, and events like this highlight the limitless possibilities our products offer.”

The products featured at the event were the DJI Flip, Neo, Action 4 and Action 5 Pro, Mic 2 and Mic Mini, RS4 Mini, OM 7 and OM 7P.
These state-of-the-art devices were put to the test as participants filmed their experiences throughout the day, highlighting DJI’s commitment to making high-quality content creation achievable for everyone.

A Day of Hands-On Experience and Innovation
The event featured an exclusive Nova Mobile Office for activations at Clifton 4th Beach, where Core Group executives led hands-on product demonstrations, a dynamic content creation challenge, and insightful interviews with DJI representatives. Attendees had the chance to capture stunning aerial shots, dynamic beach scenes, and scenic moments using the latest DJI technology.

Kelly KiKz, a dance influencer shared: “I went ziplining on the DJI South Africa adventure day and it was amazing using the DJI Action Cam. It was easy to use, I pressed record and it started recording immediately and as soon as I pressed the stop button, it switched the camera off. It is a dream to use, especially for beginners. I am a dancer and a dance content creator and have tons of concepts that I would like to create with the DJI Neo drone. The functionality is incredible, it’s light and not intimidating and the beauty of it all, I can shoot it all on my own without a cameraman”.

A Grand Finale: Rooftop Celebration at AfricaWorks
The adventure-filled day culminated in a vibrant rooftop party at AfricaWorks in the heart of the city, where guests celebrated their content creations and shared their experiences. The event underscored DJI’s mission to elevate content creation, making it more immersive, intuitive, and accessible for all.
