In just 48 hours, the entries close for the Lilizela Tourism Awards. Launched in May 2013, this South African awards recognize and reward the highest levels of excellence in tourism value chain. These awards are an initiative of the National Department of Tourism (NDT); spearheaded by South African Tourism and delivered by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa.
Over the last seven years since its inaugural event, the awards have grown in leaps and bounds and the 2019 event is no different, with the event introducing more sub-categories that signify a growth and more inclusion within the tourism industry.
The categories for this year’s Lilizela Tourism Awards are:

- Tour Operators
- Visitor Experience of the year
- Universal Accessibility
- ETEYA
