Eswatini yesterday hosted the inaugural edition of the Responsible Tourism Conference at Piggs Peak Hotel, under the theme “Shared Value in Action.” The event brought together tourism leaders, policy makers, and stakeholders for discussions on sustainable tourism practices.
The conference was officially opened by the Minister of Finance, Honourable Neal Rijkenberg, alongside the Minister of Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Honourable Jane Mkhonta-Simelane.
Sponsored by Piggs Peak Hotel, the event forms part of a global series focused on responsible tourism in destinations. Dr Harold Goodwin, who served as both keynote speaker and facilitator, led thought-provoking sessions joined by a panel of respected tourism professionals. Attendees included tour operators, travel agents, tour guides, media, and other key players in the tourism value chain.
