Eswatini’s tourism sector is gearing up for the Easter season with the launch of the #UnwrapYourEasterAdventure campaign, an initiative designed to boost local and international travel to the Kingdom. Minister of Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Jane Mkhonta-Simelane, officially introduced the campaign yesterday morning, calling on visitors to explore the country’s rich cultural and natural attractions.
Organized by the Eswatini Tourism Authority (ETA) with support from HOTAES and industry leaders, the campaign aims to promote domestic tourism while drawing regional and international travelers to the Kingdom’s lesser-known destinations.
The launch event at Mountain View Hotel brought together key tourism stakeholders, including Acting CEO Chunky Mdluli Dlamini, government officials, and social media influencers.
Yesterday, ETA launched Easter giveaway for local travelers. Residents of Eswatini have an opportunity to win accommodation, dining, and spa vouchers this Easter by supporting local tourism businesses. The Eswatini Tourism Authority (ETA) announced that customers who spend E500 or more at any registered tourism establishment, restaurant, or arts and crafts outlet between March 1 and April 29 will be entered into a prize draw.
The competition, #UnWrapYourEasterAdventure, is a collaboration between ETA and the Hospitality & Tourism Association of Eswatini (HOATES). ETA Head of Marketing, Chunky Dlamini, expressed gratitude to HOATES for sponsoring the initiative, making it possible to reward local travelers for exploring Eswatini.
The giveaway is exclusively open to Emaswati residing within the country. To participate, customers must keep their receipts after making a purchase, write their full name and contact details on the back, take a photo, and send it via WhatsApp to 7808 9000. Only genuine receipts will be considered, and participants are warned against submitting discarded or falsified slips, as all entries will be verified.
