The Gauteng Getaway Show kicks off today Friday 4 October and till Sunday 6 October at the Ticketpro Dome, Johannesburg, South Africa.

This year, the show is set to dazzle travellers, explorers, campers and even outdoor adventurous people who want to see the newest specs across the globe with over 100 exhibitors. The theme for this year’s event is “Dream, Explore and Discover”.

“With the influx of tourism coming into the country, we will like them to also get to explore the Zululand. We are looking to showcase the KwaZulu-Natal coast side area.’’ says Jerry Mamabolo, a representative at tourism KwaZulu-Natal at the event.

“The event will share a kinship in our passion for being outdoors; it will be around the campfire or climbing one of our fabled mountains or hiking trails. We live in the world and we believe that the Getaway show is a true reflection of this,” says Stephen Herman one of the exhibitors at the event.

The Show is Africa’s premier travel and outdoor show showcasing hundreds of exhibitors including travel destinations, accommodation, outdoor gear, 4×4 products and accessories, motor homes, caravans and trailers, camping equipment and adventure operators.

Live music, kids and toddler play area, market, adventure area, beer tent and a host of many other attractions, makes this a not-to-missed experience for the whole family.
