The African Business Travel Association’s (ABTA) annual 2019 conference is just around the corner, taking place from 13 to 15 November at the African Pride Mount Grace Country House & Spa in Magaliesburg.
Apart from hosting guests at one of the most beautiful venues in South Africa, over 100 delegates will be in attendance at this year’s conference, 53% of which will consist of suppliers, 18% TMCs and 29% buyers.
“We are so excited to be welcoming over 100 delegates to conference at Mount Grace this year,” says Monique Swart, ABTA Founder.
“Given the current environment, with so many companies watching budgets closely, it speaks volumes that the conference is so well attended yet again this year. We have an exciting and diverse line-up of speakers, with most sessions being very interactive and discussion based, and we look forward to two days of learning and connecting with our industry colleagues and friends.”
Delegates attending this year’s conference can look forward to a great line-up of topics and speakers, including, but not limited to, navigating mergers, acquisitions and codeshares; how ‘online’ is changing the face of the industry; payment trends across the globe; and perhaps one of the most pressing topics affecting the travel industry at present, navigating NDC and IATA One Order.
In addition, in an exiting new format, ‘Table Talk’ sessions will allow delegates to learn about 9 specialised industry topics in 20 minute intervals throughout conference.
Of course, in true ABTA fashion you can expect conference not to be all work and no play. Some of the social highlights to look forward to at this year’s conference include general networking sessions; a first timers’ reception aimed at conquering those ‘first time jitters’; an opening movie night reception, hosted by Marriott, and ABTA’s conference dinner party, hosted by Tourvest.
