Reed Exhibitions is pleased to announce that Megan Oberholzer, former General Manager of Marketing Travel Tourism & Sports Portfolio, will take on a larger role effective 1 June 2018.

Moving forward, Oberholzer will fulfill the role of General Manager for Reed Exhibitions’ Travel, Tourism & Sports Portfolio.

“I am excited about my new role as General Manager for Reed Exhibitions’ Travel, Tourism & Sports Portfolio. Having worked on WTM Africa, IBTM Africa and ILTM Africa over the past 3 years with Reed Exhibitions, I am looking forward to this exciting new challenge and enhancing the current exhibition offering, as well as growing our new health and fitness show, FIBO Global Fitness, that launches in October this year” says Oberholzer of her new appointment.

On a related note, Chardonnay Marchesi, South Africa Portfolio Director for Reed Exhibitions’ Travel, Tourism & Sports Portfolio, will be leaving her role at Reed Exhibitions at the end of May 2018. Marchesi has played a key role in the exhibitions that form Africa Travel Week for the past 5 years and will be sorely missed. We would welcome her back to the company at any time.

Says Carol Weaving, Managing Director of Reed Exhibitions, of the changes: “We are naturally going to miss having Chardonnay Marchesi with us at Reed Exhibitions, but are extremely fortunate to have the very capable Megan Oberholzer waiting in the wings to take on more responsibility and to grow our Travel, Tourism & Sports Portfolio in the future. Megan will be working very closely with myself in her new role as we continue to grow and improve the Travel, Tourism & Sports events going forward.”
