Mozambique’s sunny and tropical climates make Mozambique the perfect holiday getaway destination. Mozambique is dotted by breathtaking islands along the coastline. The Bazaruto Archipelago is home to six pristine islands near the mainland city of Vilankulo, Mozambique.

The Bazaruto Archipelago is known for its spectacular white beaches, seaside adventures and abundance of wildlife species. There are plenty of activities to do, from scuba- diving, ocean safaris to horse riding. If you are a tourist looking for something special, then the Bazaruto Archipelago is the perfect island getaway.

Bazaruto Island

Bazaruto is the largest of all six islands in the Bazaruto Archipelago and Bazaruto National Park. A protected marine reserve and national park that holds the largest population of dugongs, so while taking a walk at the beach you might spot a dugong foraging in the seagrass.

Fishing, scuba diving and snorkelling are some of the water activities you can get engage in while on the island. The weather is tropical, with a hot, summer season during December and January. If you are sun- worshipper and enjoy travelling around this season then you will have a pleasant holiday. You also visit Bazaruto during the dry season for cooler, ideal weather.

Bunguerra Island

If you are all about stretched off white sands with clear blue water, then Bunguerra is the perfect paradise for you. Get a glimpse of the crocodile lake and experience the authenticity of the community by visiting the local villages on the island or go on an exhilarating hike up the Red Dune.

If you are travelling with a partner, you can have a private beach dinner by the beach. Watch the sun as it sets above the ocean.

Magaruque Island

Swaying palm trees, tranquil waters and chirping birds. Not only is Magaruque a great vacation spot but a home to 2000 species of fish.

Magaruque is a private island offering a great deal of relaxation and some quiet time. It is the perfect escape from a busy life.

Magaruque Island is an ideal destination for an intimate getaway and that is what makes it a popular spot for couples. After countless swimming, scuba-diving, sunset dinners you will find yourself sick at the heart when it is time to leave.

With a variety of bird species including pink flamingos, the African pitta and Orange ground- thrush. The Island consists of luxurious resorts and a wide range of activities to do, The Bazaruto Archipelago in Mozambique is the best hideaway.

Transportation

Guests can fly to Vilankulo village via Maputo from there boat transportation transfer can be arranged to the Archipelago or be flown by helicopter.

Travellers and eco-tourists will find Mozambique islands to be a truly exciting destination.
