Zambia’s participation in Meetings Africa 2024 has fostered stronger tourism relations with various stakeholders, boosting the sector’s growth, according to the country’s High Commissioner to South Africa, Ms. Mazuba Monze.
Ms. Monze highlighted the event’s significance as a premier business platform, bringing together exhibitors from across Africa and beyond. Meetings Africa provided a unique opportunity to showcase Zambia’s products, services, and captivating attractions to a global audience.
The conference fostered knowledge sharing, collaboration, and policy improvements for a more effective tourism sector. It also encouraged partnerships, promoting collaboration within the industry.
Ms. Monze emphasized the crucial role of Meetings Africa in exploring tourism opportunities in Zambia. “This platform allows exhibitors to connect with international and local buyers, African associations, and corporate planners,” she said. “Meetings Africa serves as the cornerstone for the continent’s business events industry, ultimately contributing to economic growth.”
The Zambian delegation at Meetings Africa included exhibitors like the Mulungushi International Conference Centre, Proflight Zambia, and Zambia Airways. The Ministry of Tourism, along with its statutory bodies and private sector companies, also participated in the prestigious trade show.
