Chubb today announced the appointment of Julian Ellman as Consumer Head of Affinity, Travel, and Speciality Personal Lines for South Africa.
Ellman will focus on developing the Leisure Travel and Affinity portfolios distribution channels while also expanding and growing the Speciality Personal Lines products and distribution – insurance for unique risks that are not typically covered under standard personal lines insurance policies.
The appointment is effective immediately. Ellman will be based in Johannesburg and will report to Zelda Mostert, Country Manager for South Africa.

Ellman brings over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Joining from Old Mutual Insure where he led the travel insurance team, coordinating business development and building broker relations. Prior to Old Mutual Insure he held various roles at Chubb South Africa most recently Accident & Health Lead Technical Underwriter and before that Accident & Health Senior Consumer Lines Manager.
