Radisson Collection Hotel, Waterfront Cape Town is pleased to welcome Leonie Andereya to the team as General Manager (GM).
Andereya joins the Radisson Collection Hotel, Waterfront team from Radisson RED Cape Town V&A Waterfront, where she held the position of Curator for six years. Her deep knowledge of the broader Radisson Hotel Group brands, together with her wide industry experience across continents, made her an obvious candidate for the GM role at South Africa’s first Radisson Collection.
“We are thrilled to welcome Leonie as General Manager of Radisson Collection Hotel, Waterfront Cape Town, our first Radisson Collection property in sub-Saharan Africa. With her extensive experience and deep passion for the industry, she is perfectly placed to lead this iconic hotel into its next chapter. Her strategic vision will be key in strengthening the hotel’s presence and firmly establishing the Radisson Collection brand in the region.
This appointment is also a powerful reflection of one of our core values at Radisson Hotel Group, growing and promoting talent from within. Leonie’s journey is a testament to the opportunities we strive to create for our people, and we couldn’t be prouder to see her take the helm,” says Sandra Kneubuhler, Managing Director, Africa at Radisson Hotel Group.
Beyond her experience at Radisson RED, Andereya held positions with some of the world’s leading hospitality brands, including at the Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts in Los Angeles and Doha, and The Savoy Hotel in London. Andereya holds, among other qualifications, a Master’s Degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology from the University of Liverpool.
“I am very excited to join the wonderful team at Radisson Collection Hotel, Waterfront Cape Town. The spirit of hotels and hospitality has always been my passion – creating exceptional experiences for guests in beautiful locations and infusing that with positivity is what I believe will continue to set us apart. I am looking forward to applying my skills and experience in new ways at Collection,” Andereya says.
Andereya takes the reins from Clinton Thom, who held the position for seven years, and played an instrumental role in the hotel’s success and recent rebrand and refurbishment, as well as building its reputation as one of the city’s top hotels.
