The company is also the sole distributor of a number of exclusive French champagnes as well as the popular FAT Bastard wine range in the region.

Headquartered in Stellenbosch, the company has regional sales management, warehousing and administration teams in the major centres, offering a professional and nationwide footprint and service.

“Our success lies in the fact that we’re focused solely on the wine category. This single-mindedness has allowed us to gain extensive wine industry operational, distribution, marketing and sales experience. We couple our creative excellence, foresight and business acumen with an extensive and dynamic wine portfolio,” says Francois Janse Van Rensburg, the marketing manager of the company.

Nomad Africa recently witnessed the unfolding of the new Doringbay wine label launch. To commemorate the event, the company released the Doringbay Sauvignon Blanc with a different packaging.

Doringbaai is a city in West Coast District Municipality of the Western Cape province in South Africa. Naming the wine Doringbay was a unique way to attract people who might not be able to pronounce it. The white wine went with food pairings; goat cheese with beetroot. The wine costs about R95 ($6.71) in a grocery store. It has a fantastic tinder fresh, crisp, steely, grassy, ripe, tangy, tropical fruit taste.

The Doring bay is home location for the fryer’s cove winery. The winery is perched on the jetty that juts into the cold South Atlantic Ocean. The unique winery building is an old crayfish factory. The salty minerality are observed, there is currently less than 100 bottles shelved in stores at the moment. The wines are premium range from the hectares in Cape Town, Western Cape in South Africa and are packaged in a batch of six.

Bamboes bay (Sauvignon Blanc) costs about R260 ($18.36) per bottle. It costs a bit more than other wines in its range because of its exclusive taste. Recommended to be served with oysters, each bottle comes in unique packages. Inside the package is a nicely placed handwritten letter from the maker himself thanking the customer for purchasing his wine. The Hollebaksstrandfontein wine costs about R295 ($20.83). It is best served with poached salmon and guacamole.

Strandfontein is also a location in the West Coast District Municipality of the Western Cape province in South Africa. A small sea side village situated at the mouth of the Olifants river. It has evolved from a small area to a bustling tourist hub.

The final wine, The Bamboes Bay (Pinot noir) wine being the red wine, costs about R295 ($20.83). The wine has been harvested in recent years. It is best served with mushroom risotto spiced duck. The wine is best when kept for at least two years before its release. It is also believed that red wines have better health benefits than white wines. The fine red grapes are ripe and handpicked at optimum sugar levels. The resultant berries are healthy and well packed with flavour.

The wine maker’s expectation was to exceed customer’s expectation and be voted second best wine maker on the continent. “We strive to promote a culture of responsible wine consumption as part of the enjoyment of life. Our founder’s enthusiasm for wine and dedication to service excellence is entrenched in our culture and we aim, with the support of our suppliers, to continue in this vein for many years to come,” Francois Janse Van Rensburg concluded.

Fryerscove is a well-known wine brand in stores across South Africa. Want to have a delightful taste of these unique wines? Be sure to visit www.fryerscove.co.za.
