ILTM Africa announces changes to create a more sophisticated event

In response to meeting luxury travel trade professionals and taking their feedback into consideration, ILTM Africa is thrilled to announce that its show will take place in the spectacular Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden. In light of this venue change, the dates for ILTM Africa will also be moved to ahead of WTM Africa, to take place from 7-9 April.

As announced in September, ILTM Africa will also welcome in its 2019 edition in the Host City of Cape Town with a refined sense of luxury communicated through a new look and feel, as well as multiple side events.

“We took into consideration all of the buyer feedback we received and in response to this we have shifted our dates and venue for ILTM Africa in order to meet the needs of the travel professionals who would like to be present at the event,” explains Megan Oberholzer, Portfolio General Manager – Travel, Tourism & Sports at Reed Exhibitions.

“It is vital that we go beyond a typical trade show approach for ILTM Africa, and as such have chosen to host the 2019 event at one of the world’s greatest botanical gardens, overlooking the iconic Table Mountain. This will elevate ILTM Africa to resonate the luxury brand it represents.”

The Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden is one of South Africa’s renowned UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and offers an incredible natural experience for visitors to Cape Town. The garden lies on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain and is one of the few places where unique and protected species of fynbos thrives.

The move to a new venue is part of ILTM Africa’s initiatives to create a more experiential event, allowing attendees to enjoy their surroundings while creating a productive environment in which to do business.

Announced last month, exhibitors will now also be privy to exclusive luxury travel experiences at special rates through the ILTM LUX Loyalty programme.

“Limited to ILTM Africa clientele only, the ILTM LUX Loyalty Club invites our handpicked Buyers and Exhibitors to experience luxury at special rates. Born from our desire to link the industry across the continents, the ILTM LUX Loyalty Club offers our elite customers with the opportunity to enjoy products first-hand through all of the 5 senses. The ILTM Lux Loyalty Club gives us the chance to say thank you for partnering with us on our journey, it offers a link of longevity and it paves the pathway for partnerships,” concludes Oberholzer.
In addition to the innovative new design concept for ILTM Africa, exhibitors will now also be privy to exclusive luxury travel experiences at special rates through the ILTM LUX Loyalty programme launched at the same event this week.
