The President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa has managed to secure R294bn worth of investments. With this investment deal The President of South Africa believes to change the country’s angle regarding the economy and input on a better route to better the South African job crisis.

The President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa has managed to secure R294bn worth of investments.

The investment deal will also benefit the Tourism chain by this it will make it more sufficient and easier to welcome tourism business from internationals and together with locals. The Tourism Business Council of South Africa (TBCSA) CEO Tshifhiwa Tshivhengwa said that “there will be new businesses that will be in demand and that they will be more convenient for travel and accommodation guests. With this the demand grows for tourist and for those wanting to visit South Africa, it becomes more sufficient for the locals to cash in money. The tourism sector has lacked much for over the past ten years where we measure the kind of level the public sector is doing in hiring more people.”

South Africa is bound to change its economy and therefore targeting the bigger most problematic areas like unemployment in the rural areas, where there is a great deal of demand from tourist. With this, South Africa aims to reduce common issues and improve its economy. So far have been involving more people from the townships.

Recently, South Africa relaxed its visa regulations to boost tourism. The TBCSA CEO said that, “Businesses are suffering at the moment and with this new regulations we believe is a new turn in growing the tourism sector and only way in doing so is by upgrading our infrastructure and  to get locals investing themselves more into the tourism sector.” By doing so locals can start refurbishing their accommodations by owning their own apartments, Bed and Breakfast (B’N’B’s) this will lead to a greater employment rise and economy drive. Having local restaurants self-owned by people in townships also increases the employment rate due to the fact that with the more demand that comes from tourist the more job opportunity is available to locals.

Whilst the CEO of TBCSA has submitted a report to the Minister of Tourism Tokozile Xasa regarding township tourism opportunities in South Africa, the CEO is confident that they will approve it. He has urged the public to take advantage and go get tenders that will help integrate such challenges. Any money that is being invested into this country leaves a positive mark in the country’s economy system, especially in the rural areas as it reduces crime and poverty. Many tourists also fear the xenophobic attacks that happened in recent years, therefore this could have also affected the tourism growth in South Africa.

Eastern Cape has a high possible tourist attraction. The city is vibrant, full of energy and colour. The term Ubuntu (I am what I am because of who we are) is seen from here. Ubuntu is a place filled with amazing motivational people. This place is filled with people with good hearts, spirits and a real sense of helping everyone.

Most visited places in South Africa with tourist mostly likely to suggest to their friends is Gauteng, Cape Town and Durban. The country has only 3 international airports namely; OR Tambo, Cape Town international airport and King Shaka International airport.

They are a lot of factors affecting the growth in economy of South Africa, and such are crime and drought can be seen as the major contributions to it. The main thing is to implement a new change in order to eliminate these problems is by restructuring the country’s economic state and therefore introducing new job opportunities.

Many local citizens have created a brand for themselves selling them online and from their back-doors, selling from anything; toiletries, textiles, clothing, footwear, leather goods, household furniture, appliances and equipment, hardware, paint and glass as well as various assorted goods. Locals everywhere are urged to start something from fresh. By bringing businesses to the townships and allowing people around the township a pathway to the corporate world.

Whether starting small, becoming a street vendor and selling something on the streets to bring something home to going big and being noticed and funded by entrepreneurs themselves. It is suggested that everyone goes out there to start somewhere.

People in surrounding township areas of South Africa most especially rural areas are more affected, and with the economy state of South Africa it has become extremely bad for employment opportunities in this country.

Tourism month is celebrated yearly in September and therefore this year the country is hoping to attract a lot of guests.

Mikie Monoketjie is also one of the entrepreneurs selling her Mama’s spice. She is a solo owned business operating in Randburg, South Africa, Johannesburg. That specialises in flat stomach herbs that can help with bloating of the stomach and help reduce any increase in the abdominal area.

From just owning and mostly having a well-recognised brand is a step to eliminating poverty and unemployment in local townships and therefore attracting a new business venture. With people design a home brand appliance, brewed coffee and winemakers. Such encouragement and self-discipline is a necessity in building a rainbow nation. Many students go to school and graduate and therefore can’t find jobs. Having these type of entrepreneurs coming up with new business opportunities increases economy state in the country.

It is a local company based in Cape Town, South Africa encouraging locals from unprivileged neighbourhoods in Cape Town to start their own companies. To eliminate the struggle of poverty therefore increasing and giving these motivational talks to locals on what to start.

The company aims to help with advertisements, giving local people a platform to advertise their businesses.  Places like Soweto, Langa, Khayelitsha, Gugulethu, and Khayamandi are among the fastest growing townships in South Africa. Khayelitsha has a more demand in terms of restaurant businesses and accommodations available to locals and international guests.
